History

Classwork

Create a new Word document and in it do the following:

  1.  Look up (Google/Wikipedia is fine) one of the following historical figures in computing: Grace Hopper, Lynn Conway, Mark Dean, Clarence Ellis, Tim Berners-Lee, or Dennis Ritchie.  For the person you chose:
    1. Name something they worked on in the history of computing. Was it hardware, software, or networks?  (Some people worked on many different things, you can just choose one.)
    2. Give at one interesting fact you found about their lives.

Submit the classwork, attaching your Word document.

Once you have submitted, check that your document shows up readably inside BlackBoard.  If you see only a "download" button, and not the content of your document, there is a problem and you will need to resubmit.  (Check that you used a Word docx file.)
